Roy Kuo
Head of Research

Roy joined Dexion Capital in October 2010 as head of the Research team. He is directly responsible for its sell-side research coverage of listed private equity and infrastructure funds as well as for analysis and development of new alternative investment products. Prior to joining Dexion, Roy was a consultant to Aberdeen Asset Management’s private equity and infrastructure group and was the head of research at Bramdean Asset Management before that.

Daniel Balabanoff
Research & Advisory

Daniel works in Dexion Capital plc’s Research team, heading up its sell-side research coverage of listed hedge funds, and working on analysis and development of alternative investment products. He started working on projects for Dexion Capital in 2000. On completing his degree in Mathematics Daniel joined UBS as a graduate trainee. He returned to Dexion as an analyst in 2004.

Martin McCubbin
Research & Advisory

Martin works in open-ended fund of hedge fund research for Dexion Capital plc’s advisory and research team, researching new ideas for Dexion alternative investment products. Prior to joining Dexion Capital in October 2004 Martin had three years working for fund of hedge fund advisor Atlas Capital in London with responsibility for researching CTAs and global macro funds. From 1988 to 2001 he was at the University of Liverpool working on particle physics experiments at CERN, Geneva. Martin was educated at University College London where he completed a BSc in physics and a PhD in experimental particle physics.

Emily Upson

Emily has worked at Dexion Capital plc since January 2009 and is a member of the Research and Advisory team and specialises in the sell-side research coverage of listed investment companies. Emily attended Imperial College where she obtained a BSc in Medical Science.
