Alistair joined Dexion Capital plc in June 2007 to market the company’s closed-ended funds. He began his career in 1991 on the investment banking graduate program at Midland Montagu (later HSBC), where he spent 8 years. Most of this period was spent in fixed income as a specialist salesperson attached to the OTC Bond Option, followed by an attachment to the Emerging Markets local currency team. He then left to become one of the founding directors of a private equity funded start-up in the security industry, and has returned to the City after 8 years.
Justin Zawoda-Martin

Justin joined Dexion Capital plc in 2006 and is responsible for the distribution of Dexion’s closed-ended companies and other products in the UK and Switzerland. Justin has 10 years experience in financial markets and private banking. He began his career as Group Legal Counsel at Coutts in Zurich and has since worked at UBS and ING in both London and Zurich focusing on client relationship management and business development. Justin was educated at London University and then qualified as a barrister.

Ian is a consultant to Dexion Capital plc and a director of Dexion Capital (Guernsey) Limited. Ian is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and began working with Dexion Capital in May 2001 on a consultancy basis with the aim of developing the company’s relationships with the Life and Pensions industry. He began his City career in the life assurance industry and joined stockbroker James Capel in 1979, becoming a partner in 1983 where he specialised in the debt and derivatives markets. In 1982, Ian co-founded James Capel Futures and was instrumental in the design of the LIFFE long gilt future contract. He retired from the HSBC group in 2000 to become a consultant. Amongst his other interests he lectures on investment banking, bonds, debt and derivative products.

Max joined the single manager marketing business of Dexion Capital in October 2006. He markets hedge funds in the UK and Europe; and is involved in new product sourcing and selection. Previously, he spent three years in equity research at Taylor Young Investment Management Ltd, having graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2003.

Marc joined Dexion Capital plc in August 2010 as a member of the Distribution and Marketing Team. Marc graduated from Edinburgh University where he read Economic and Social History, before spending one year studying Mandarin Chinese at Peking University.

Miriam joined Dexion Capital in April 2009 to focus on the European distribution. Prior to Dexion Capital she was an associate at Siguler Guff & Company, a Private Equity firm, where she was actively involved in the fundraising and responsible for developing relationships with institutional and private European investors. Prior to Siguler Guff she worked as a marketing analyst at the European Securitisation Forum (ESF), a trade association, focusing on the promotion of the ESF institute to new and existing members. Miriam is Italian, was educated in Venice and is fluent in English and French.

Patrick joined Dexion Capital plc in June 2009 and is responsible for the marketing of Dexion’s closed ended and UCITS hedge funds. Previously, he spent over two years at Close Asset Management where he managed equity portfolios for Private Clients, Trusts and Charities and was an analyst responsible for covering the Aerospace & Defence and Engineering sectors. Patrick moved with a team of 9 fund managers to Close Asset Management from Singer & Friedlander Investment Management where he spent nearly three years as an investment assistant and analyst. Patrick started his career at HSBC Investment Management having graduated in History from the University of Exeter in 2003.

Xavier joined Dexion Capital Plc in February 2010 and is responsible for European and Middle East distribution. Xavier began his career at Arthur Andersen, entered the asset management industry working for Fidelity Investments International, and has an additional 9 years experience in business development and marketing in the alternative investment industry having worked for both single manager and fund of hedge fund boutiques. He is a graduate of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in Washington, D.C. and has an MBA from the SDA Bocconi in Milan, Italy. Xavier is from Spain and speaks English, French, Italian, and Spanish.
Rebecca Donaldson

Rebecca joined Dexion Capital plc in 2008 and is responsible for the corporate and product communications. Rebecca has over 18 years experience in marketing communications and education within asset management. She began her career in investment management at GAM and has since worked with UBS and fund of hedge funds investment manager International Asset Management Limited focusing on marketing materials, media and brand development. Rebecca was educated at Oxford Brookes University.

Anna has worked at Dexion Capital plc since October 2009 and is a member of the Marketing and Communications team. Prior to this Anna worked at fund of hedge funds manager International Asset Management Limited as a Client Relations Analyst, specialising in Italian and Spanish clients. Anna began her career at UBS in 2003 working as a Derivatives Client Services Analyst on the Fixed Income and Equity Derivatives desk. Anna holds a BA (Hons) in Management Studies from the University of Nottingham.
Abigail Hayhoe

Abigail joined the Marketing and Communications team at Dexion Capital plc in April 2011. Prior to this, Abigail worked in marketing and PR at LVMH. Her career began in the oil industry as a business analyst for the UK Petroleum Industry Association. Abigail holds a BA (Hons) in Economics with French from the University of Nottingham.
